- If a clue equals the full line length, fill the entire line.
- Look for rows where the sum of clues plus gaps fills most of the line.
- Cross out cells that cannot possibly be filled based on other clues.
- Use the overlap technique for large clues to find guaranteed fills.
- Work back and forth between rows and columns to resolve ambiguities.
