- Build threats on top of each other so your opponent cannot block both.
- Watch for diagonal lines; they are the easiest to overlook.
- Never play directly under an opponent's three-in-a-row unless you are forced.
- Create a seven-shape or similar double threat when possible.
- Think two moves ahead; Connect Four is less about reaction and more about setup.
